Thoughts.
Hello. G'day. Bonjour. Hola. Ciao. Konichiwa. Welcome to my online photographic exhibition. It is but a very small selection of my work which I feel represents myself at this time. It is an animated selection of pieces which will be taken down and replaced over time, as would a real exhibition. For a growing display of work please check out my blog

Creating photographs is an incredibly personal act that represents and presents the creator. The past, childhood, journeys and experiences can all be drawn - to some extent - from a person's creations. Influence is everywhere, and more so than ever as the world around us becomes digitized and transported across the planet every second of every day. It is no longer easy to exactly point out individual pieces that drive an artist to create what they do.

Amongst all this, what I find most interesting is the notable personal interactions that will ultimately influence the product. By this I mean the interpretation, collaboration, criticism and encouragement between artists, creators, dreamers and what ever level of audience is present.

No matter the pay check, photography will always be personal and only these interactions and opportunities can truly sway the path of a future. So rather than speak in the third person about ones accolades, I'd merely like to say this:

Photography is a tool, an extension and a way of living. The uses for, applications of and reasons why we photograph are seemingly endless and I truly believe it is what you make of it. To what ever level you may regard photography (and art for that matter), I hope that it fills you and expands your mind to a level otherwise unreachable through everyday life. I also hope that you enjoy my images and take away a valuable piece of myself in viewing them.

For a few pieces I have provided description, for others I feel it best left for individual interpretation. Allow your persona to fill in the unknown and possibly discover something about yourself.
Personal.
Whilst I shoot both digital and film, my heart will always lie with film. The top half of the menu to your left is a selection of film work, below it are digital frames.

I shoot on a range of formats: 135, 120, Polaroid600, CMOS; using a range of cameras: Rolleiflex 2.8, Pentax Spotmatic, Canon 30, plastic, Canon 7D. Although I welcome technology and enjoy learning and progressing with evolution I am not gear bias. I believe there will never be one camera and the choice you make as a photographer as to which to use, reflects personally upon yourself.

All the images displayed (except a few colour negatives) have been developed, processed and printed by myself and it's these tangible acts that makes film mean so much to me. I will continue to add and remove pieces which I will note on the blog so keen an eye out.

Rights of use.
Please contact me first if you wish to gain use to my photographs. I display my work freely and do so for the purpose of sharing. I am usually more than happy to allow representation of my work around the Internet but I present these large photographs with caution. I see the time, effort and soul that other photographers put into their work go unnoticed all the time and would dread being a part of that group.
